Welcome to the WUMC Family Ministry Blog
Welcome to the new WUMC Family Ministry web page/blog. The Family Ministry is a group of families with generally younger kids (elementary age and younger) who get together about once a month for some sort of fellowship and social activity with the kids. Some of our past events have included free family movie nights, a Fall Harvest Festival, Gingerbread decorating parties. We also try to get the Mom’s and Dad’s together for some adult fellowship as well. During the school year we have a Sunday School class that can but does not always pertain to parenting issues.
My hope is that you will be able to stop by here any time and get an up-to-date look at what we will be doing and what we have been doing with the Family Ministry. And hopefully you will like something that you see so that you will be willing to stop by one of our events and check us out!! We would love to have you!!!
If you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know. I am ALWAYS looking for ideas to make things better, fresher and more exciting. Just tell me your idea.
Thanks for stopping by and hopefully we will
SEE YOU SOON!!

Haiti Health Kit Contents
The following is a list of items that we will need to stuff 40 bags for Haiti Health kits. Please sign up for as many items as you can bring and make sure that you follow the specific instructions with each. All of these items can be bought at Dollar Tree. Bring your items along with 5 $1 bills on Sunday, February 7th after the 10:00 service to the Senior High Youth Room where we will be stuffing the bags. After we are done filling the bags, stick around for the planning meeting.
I will try to update the list as far as the number needed when we get responses and put the needed totals in red. Last update after "Lisa".
40 (33) hand towels (15" x 25" up to 17" x 27" - no kitchen towels)
40 (22) washcloths - these were 3/$1 at Dollar Tree
40 (26) combs (large and sturdy, not pocket-sized)
40 (20) metal nail files or fingernail clippers (no emery boards or toenail clippers)
40 (3) bath-size bars of soap (3 oz. and up) - these were 2 or 3/$1 at Dollar Tree
40 (15) toothbrushs (single brushes only in original wrapper - no child-size brushes - make sure that they are individually wrapped or at least SEALED when separated) I found these for 3/$1
240 (100) adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages - Think BandAid type only
