Cloth Sizes for Neighbors in Need

Hi! Just a quick note on the cloth sizes for the Neighbors in Need Girls. Haley wears a Ladies/Misses Large (shirt, coat or pajamas), size 12 pants, size 7 shoe, and size 9 sock.

Zowie wears a Youth Large (shirt, coat or pajamas), size 12 pant, size 3 shoe and Youth size 3 sock.

Neighbors in Need Family

Please look at the list below and then leave a comment telling us what you will be able to purchase for the family. The gift needs to be wrapped and it needs a gift tag on it stating who the gift is to. Tonia said that they were interested in coming to our Gingerbread House Party so if you can, please bring it with you to the party. If you are not able to make it to the party please let us know and you can just drop if off at our house anytime. Tonia and Ralph’s Christmas will really be much nicer with your gifts for their girls.

Haley (almost 15):
• Old Navy or Marshalls gift cards
• Black, High Top Converse shoes size 7
• Any (or all) of the Harry Potter books and movies (she hasn't read any of them or seen any of the movies, but would like to have them all)

Zowie (9):
• Fur Real Friends Panda Bear
• Otherwise, clothing and toy wise she will be happy with ANYTHING

Ralph (Dad):
• a Cordless Power Drill

The family shops at Walmart a lot and does grocery shopping at SuperFresh so gift cards for these places are great ideas too.

Christmas Cookie Exchange

Let us know if you are planning on participating in our Christmas Cookie Exchange.  We will be meeting in the Youth Sunday School rooms on Sunday, December 13th at 11:00 am.  Please tell us what kind of cookies you are planning on bringing.  You will need to bring a dozen for each participant plus an extra dozen for tasting.  Please include a copy of the recipe.

Gingerbread House Party

Saturday, December 12th, 10:00 a.m. New Life in Christ room OR Jubilee Hall

Please leave an RSVP for the Gingerbread House Party. We need to get an idea of how many are coming because we are trying to determine if we need to move to Jubilee Hall for this event. Each family that is coming needs to bring a box of graham crackers, a tube or tub of icing and candy decorations to share. We need to find someone that is able to provide milk cartons from school. Usually a teacher is able to do this pretty easily. Please let me know if you can do that. We also need a donation of hot cups for hot chocolate and of course Hot Chocolate! When you RSVP just let us know if you will be bringing something with you.

Thanksgiving Potluck

We are very excited about this years Thanksgiving Potluck dinner and Shoebox Ministry!
The dinner will start Saturday, November 21st around 5:00 followed by stuffing and wrapping shoeboxes and family nativity pictures.  Turkey, paper products, and drinks will be provided.
We are asking everyone to please leave a comment below with your RSVP letting us know how many people are coming and what dish you are bringing.
Also, please bring Christmas wrapping paper and tape as well as your shoeboxes and items to stuff the shoeboxes.  Some ideas for the boxes include school supplies, small toys, hygiene items, hard candy and hair clips.  Please remember that if your items need batteries to include extra batteries and DO NOT bring any kid of war-related items.  Please make sure that your items are in new condition.  In the past we have been able to fill about 50 boxes and we are hoping to do at least 60 this year!!!
If you would like to donate towards the cost of the turkeys please let me know.

Christmas in April

The Family Ministry will once again be providing food for the Christmas in April work team on Saturday, April 25th. This year the work team will consist of about 8 people. We would like to provide a morning break snack (coffee and donuts) and lunch (sandwiches, chips, brownies, and drinks). If we could get this stuff together for Thursday night (4/23) that would be great! The items we need to have are:
Buns - 2 packages
Lunch Meat - 1 lb
Cheese slices
Mayonaise - a small jar
Chips - individual bags or a few big bags
Drinks - some cans of soda
Bottled Water
Donuts - 2 dozen
Brownies
Plastic Wear
Sturdy Plates
A big pack of Napkins
If you are able to help with a food donation, I and many others would really appreciate your help. Just let us know what you would be able to provide by clicking on "Comments" right below here (see "How to leave a Comment" at the right for directions), and I will give you directions to our house if you need them.

St. Patrick's Day Party

Please let us know if you will be attending the St. Patrick's Day Party at the Evan's Home AND what you will be bringing for a dish. Try to bring something with an Irish theme. Even if it is only in name or color! Be creative!!

Jesus Loves Me Party and Pot Luck

Family Game Night

Because we will be ordering pizza we need to know how many people are coming and how many silces you think your family will need. Pizza is available for $5/family or $5 per pizza if you need more than one.
